Terms of Use

Last updated 18 October 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of https://breast-pumps.com (the "Site"). The Site is operated by X Enterprises, LLC, 18122 3rd Dr SE, Bothell, WA 98012 ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

What the Site is, and what it is not

The Site publishes general information about breast pumps: pump types, insurance coverage, renting, used pumps and sharing, choosing a pump, pump parts, flange fit, using a pump, cleaning and sanitizing, storing, freezing, and thawing breast milk, pumping at work, and traveling with breast milk. We are not a doctor, nurse, midwife, lactation consultant, or other health care provider. We are not a retailer, a brand, a maker, a rental provider, a health plan, a testing laboratory, a government agency, or a lawyer. We do not sell or rent breast pumps or parts. The Site does not give prices, product picks, pumping schedules, session lengths, suction settings, or flange measuring steps.

Important health and medical notice

The Site does not give medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and nothing on it creates a provider and patient relationship. It is not a substitute for care from your doctor, midwife, lactation consultant, your baby's pediatrician, or another qualified health care professional. Do not ignore or delay professional advice because of something you read on the Site. Questions about pumping, breastfeeding, milk supply, pain, injury, infection, or your baby's health or feeding belong with your health care professional. The FDA says that if you are injured while using a breast pump or have pain, contact your health care provider. In an emergency, call 911.

General information only; no medical, legal, or professional advice

Content on the Site is for general information. It is not medical, legal, insurance, employment, or professional advice. Where the Site describes what an agency says, it does so in that agency's words, which may be general, may not fit your situation, and may change. We make no claim about milk supply or output, comfort, pain relief, infant health, or any other outcome, and we do not say that any pump, part, practice, or product is safe or right for you.

Breast pumps are medical devices

The FDA says breast pumps are medical devices regulated by the FDA. Where the Site describes how federal rules classify breast pumps, it does so as the eCFR states it, for general information only. The Site does not say that any pump or part is approved, cleared, or registered by the FDA, and a mention of the FDA or a federal rule on the Site is not a statement about any product.

Single-user devices, renting, sharing, and used pumps

Where the Site describes single-user and multiple-user pumps, renting, sharing, or used pumps, it does so in the FDA's words. We do not sell, list, or link to used or secondhand pumps. You are responsible for deciding whether to buy, rent, borrow, or share a pump, and for checking with the maker, the rental provider, and your health care professional before you do.

Cleaning, sanitizing, and milk storage

The Site's cleaning, sanitizing, and milk storage information comes from the CDC and the FDA, in their words. The CDC says its milk storage information is adapted from a protocol for home use for full-term infants. If your baby was born early, is sick, or has other health needs, ask your baby's health care providers. Follow the maker's instructions for your pump and its parts; where they differ from the Site, follow the maker and your health care professional.

Insurance and coverage information

Where the Site describes coverage for breast pumps, it quotes HealthCare.gov and the FDA. Coverage depends on your plan, its rules, and the law that applies to it. We do not promise that any pump, rental, service, or supply will be covered, free, or at no cost to you. Ask your plan what it covers.

Workplace and travel rules

Where the Site describes the Fair Labor Standards Act, the PUMP for Nursing Mothers Act, or TSA screening, it does so in the words of the U.S. Department of Labor or the TSA, for general information only. It does not tell you what your employer, a screening officer, or any other party must do for you. Coverage and exemptions vary, rules change, and other federal, state, and local laws may apply. Read the agency's current guidance, and get advice from a qualified professional about your situation.

Makers' instructions

Breast pumps, parts, accessories, storage containers, coolers, and related products are made and sold by third parties under their own terms. Their manuals, instructions, warnings, and labels control over anything on the Site. We have not tested any product. We are not responsible for any third party's products, manuals, instructions, warranties, or recalls.

Agencies, organizations, credentials, and sources

Government agencies and organizations named on the Site, including the FDA, the CDC, HealthCare.gov, the HHS Office on Women's Health, the U.S. Department of Labor, the TSA, and the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE), are credited for their own guidance and definitions. They do not endorse the Site, and the Site's mention of a source is not a statement that any product is approved, cleared, certified, or safe. The Site has no lactation consultants or other health care professionals on staff. Where the Site mentions the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) credential, it does so only to describe the credential, and IBLCE does not endorse or sponsor the Site.

Brand names and trademarks

Brand, product, program, credential, and organization names mentioned on the Site belong to their owners. International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, IBCLC, and IBLCE are registered marks of the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners. We use names only to identify a source or a credential. The Site is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any brand or organization it mentions. "Breast Pumps" is the name of the Site and is not a claim about any pump.

Affiliate links

Some links may be affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. Any purchase is between you and the retailer, under the retailer's terms. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

Eligibility

The Site is for a general audience. It is not directed to children under 13.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Site in violation of any law;
  • copy, scrape, or republish Site content in bulk without our written permission;
  • interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site.

Intellectual property

Site content, design, and text are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may view and share links to the Site for personal, non-commercial use. Third-party names and trademarks are covered under "Brand names and trademarks" above.

Third-party websites

Links to retailers, makers, government agencies, organizations, health plans, and other websites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products, prices, or policies.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE, ANY PURCHASE OR RENTAL FROM A THIRD PARTY, OR THE USE, CLEANING, SHARING, OR STORAGE OF ANY BREAST PUMP, PART, ACCESSORY, OR BREAST MILK. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SITE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100). NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE LIMITED.

Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

Dispute resolution; binding arbitration; class-action waiver

Please read this section carefully. Except for small-claims matters and claims for injunctive relief over intellectual property, any dispute about these Terms or the Site will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The seat of arbitration will be King County, Washington, unless you and we agree otherwise. You and we waive any right to a jury trial and to take part in a class, consolidated, or representative action. If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim must proceed in court and not in arbitration.

Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to the arbitration section, exclusive venue for permitted court actions is the state or federal courts in King County, Washington, and you consent to jurisdiction there.

Assignment and change of operator

We may assign or transfer these Terms, and the Site, to a successor operator, including as part of a sale of the Site, without notice to you. After that, the successor operator takes our place under these Terms and may post its own terms. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent.

Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after that date means you accept the revised Terms.

Miscellaneous

These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, and the Affiliate Disclosure, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
